Dr. Revis received her Ph.D. in clinical psychology from Case Western Reserve University in 1984 and completed a pre-doctoral internship as well as post-doctoral work in clinical health psychology at Duke University Medical Center. She subsequently worked in private practice in Virginia, conducted research and teaching at the Center for Women’s Health at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in California, and helped bring behavioral health services to underserved populations in rural Wyoming before she returned to Ohio in 2005.
She has more than 30 years of clinical experience, uses individual psychotherapy and family therapy as primary treatment modalities. She works with school age children, adolescents and adults. In her current practice, Dr. Revis focuses behavioral and emotional disorders of childhood, impact of physical illness/disability on development and family, adolescent mood disorders, post-traumatic stress, behavioral management of chronic illness, and lifespan issues. She also routinely conducts pre-surgical psychological evaluations for people undergoing bariatric surgery.
